Megan Kearns Becomes a Bitch Flicks Contributor!

Hi, Bitch Flicks readers! I am so excited to announce that Bitch Flicks has kindly invited me, Megan Kearns, to become a Contributor!!

I’m a feminist vegan blogger, writer and a long-time Bitch Flicks fan. For the past 2 years, I’ve written film and television reviews for the fabulous feminist media site, fusing my passion for media, gender and writing. Some of my previous posts include The Kids Are All Right, Young Adult, the original Swedish The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, !Women Art Revolution, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, and the PBS series Women, War, and Peace.

Saying I love movies and TV is an understatement. I’m kind of obsessed. I constantly watch films and TV series, analyzing feminist themes, gender roles, sexism and the portrayal of women. Some of my favorite films include Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Iron Jawed Angels, The Constant Gardener, Aliens, Miss Representation, The Color Purple, I’ve Loved You So Long, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, Under the Bombs, Whip It, and The Devil Wears Prada. Some of my favorite TV shows include Parks and Recreation, The Wire, Sex and the City, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Xena, Mad Men, Roseanne and The Golden Girls.

Becoming a part of the Bitch Flicks team is a tremendous honor and a dream come true for me. I hope you’ll check out my reviews and articles! And in case you’re wondering who I am, here’s more about me and my background:
